New Branding: Concept 1

I’ve been seriously considering changing the rlastudios branding to something cleaner..  simpler..  something that delivers a clear message with impact. I think yellow is a great color for this as it is the brightest color next to white. Yellow also has an inherent glow. The new brand signifies my growth as a photographer and a professional. the logo is simple, clean, and can be replicated easily. I believe this new branding can help set us apart from the crowd in this competitive market (the Toronto Wedding Photography) .

Highlight Video – L&M Pre-Engagement

Larry & Margot Pre-Engagement ..

Turns out that:  Cute Couple + Location Variety + Freezing January Weather = Winning Combo ! This Toronto engagement shoot consisted of quick shots at various locations that the couple were familiar with: the campus she went to, the campus he went to, and some of their favorite spots.  It is my pleasure to present without further ado ..

L&M Teaser !

I have been dying to put this up. Based on the couple’s request, I had to hold on to these until after their engagement. I had a  BLAST! working with this couple, and I mean that in a couple of ways. It was a blast because I was shooting in sub-zero temperatures on some of the coldest days of this winter. It was also a blast because they were such a dynamic couple. They have fun, they give their input, they listen, they come up with ideas, and best of all they have a wonderful connection.

I am crossing my fingers and hoping they get tie the knot soon, so I can get a chance to work with them again.  A pre-engagement set will follow soon ..  so stay tuned!

Great 2009! 2010 here we come..

New year for the world, and a new year for RLA Studios. Thanks to God, word of mouth, and the wonderful couples and people that I work with, I’ve had a very successful 2009. I’m looking forward to the work I have booked for 2010, and the events that I have yet to book for this new year.

We’re off to a great start with a wonderful couple who are having a January engagement. Respecting the couple’s wishes, I am keeping all the photos under wraps, so the couple can surprise their friends and family with them at a later time. The locations can be best described as time -encompassing; past, present, future, as we got some wonderful images next to old buildings, some street fun, and even near futuristic structures. The couple were a blast and tons of fun, and that’s what made the shooting in the cold more tolerable. Look forward to seeing all of their photos sometime in early February.

Ofcourse,  this post would be no fun without a photo, so here’s a beautiful panorama of the interior of St. John’s Greek Orthodox Church in Toronto.

Marian + Morcos Pre-Engagement

Toronto Engagement Photography

Morcos and Marian were a dream to work with. They were fun, adventurous, and were not afraid to get dirty lying on the grass or leaning against old downtown buildings. We hit many locations downtown and got a lot of wonderful shots. You can see more of this shoot at our Official Website.
