Friends..
We came home this weekend very tired at almost midnight. I had this idea in my head for a while where I wanted to take photos of my lovely wife in the bedroom all dolled up and stuff. Unfortunately, by the time I set up my gear, she was fast asleep on the coach. So I needed a replacement model, so I grabbed some of our favourite stuffed friends, and here’s what came out. (more…)
Our Honeymoon in Aruba
Heaven on Earth ! Aruba was a dream .. a quick one that I wished would just last forever. From waking up in the morning, opening the balcony door, and taking in that breath-taking ocean view and the life-restoring powers of the Aruban sun and that wonderful sea breeze, to rolling in that powdery white sand near the crystal clear aqua waters, to taking romantic night walks listening to island bands play all night long, it was simply that perfect honeymoon that we’ve always dreamed of.
Ofcourse it wouldn’t be complete without my second most favorite thing in the world, my camera. If I could have only cloned myself, we would have had more photos together. I tried to capture the warmth, textures, and feel of the trip and Aruba giving the two of us something that can help us re-live that short week. Needless to say, I took tons of photos of my lovely wife, and got to do lots of landscape work. I found out that it’s not hard to take nice photos in paradise of such a hot model 
The resort was the RIU Palace in Palm Beach, Aruba. 5 stars of luxurious suites, food from around the world, friendly people, and a relaxing atmosphere. Aruba is a tiny island outside the hurricane belt that is so small .. I threw out the map and drove from one end of the island to the other with ease in less than 75 minutes. Awesome DJ’s ..
I’ll admit to the fact that I used to be one of those photographers that think that DJ’s have it easy. They come in, set up their equiment, put the music on auto-pilot, jukebox it for 2 -3 hours, and go home. No culling photos, color balancing, retouching … no slideshow creation, no poster or album designing .. you get the idea.
Now I believe that a great DJ is the heart of the party. This photo shows Dj Karim in action. Karim and his brother John have been djing for as long as I can remember. Besides the fact that they are easy to work with whenever I need an announcement to be made, or to keep an eye on my equipment, they can put on one hell of a party!
Red Hot !!
I had the pleasure of having my beautiful wife and lovely assistant, Bernadette accompany me to the Coptic Gala Event that I covered a short 2 weeks ago. She wore a very cute outfit that included hot red accents in the form of lipstick (gotta love red lipstick), stone necklace, belt, and the sexiest pair of red shoes I’ve seen in a while. Simple and very elegant.
Needless to say, although I was very exhausted from shooting the event, I had to take some shots before bed. Enjoy!
Engagement Teaser..
For those of you who this beautiful young lady, you certainly know what will be posted next very soon. For those who don’t, this is a portrait shot taken downtown Toronto during a pre-engagement photo shoot of a fun couple I worked with in July.
They both loved the camera and seemed very comfortable infront of the lens, which made my job that day a lot easier. This photo had wonderful lighting and I just love the simple background.
Thanks to my wonderful finace’ who acted as my assistant that day, I didn’t have to worry about my flash stand crashing or being carried away by the wind on that day.
